About: This year-long curriculum plan aims to provide a strong foundation in English language skills while fostering empowerment-related discussions and personal development. 


Objectives: 

  1. Introduce and reinforce fundamental English language skills, including vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  2. Incorporate content related to empowerment, gender equality, and personal development.
  3. Cultivate students' confidence and competence in using English to discuss and express themselves on empowerment-related topics.


Overview: 

Months 1-3: Foundations of English

  • Introduction to the English alphabet and basic pronunciation
  • Greetings and introductions
  • Basic vocabulary 


Months 4-6: Grammar and Communication Skills

  • Sentence structure and basic verb tenses (present, past, future)
  • Vocabulary expansion (focus on self-esteem, goals, and dreams)
  • Building confidence in speaking and expressing opinions
  • Listening and responding to simple stories


Months 7-9: Reading and Writing Skills

  • Basic reading comprehension exercises with short texts 
  • Constructing simple sentences and paragraphs 
  • Journaling about personal experiences in English


Months 10-12: Empowerment and Self-Expression

  • Expressing personal goals, aspirations, and challenges in English
  • Final project: Creating and presenting an empowerment-themed project (e.g., poster, presentation, or short story) in English
